| Our New Spanish, 5th and 6th Grade Building
Our new Spanish, 5th and 6th grade classroom building is complete! There are 3 spacious classrooms connected by a covered walkway and patio area, as well as a student computer lab and two offices on the lower level. Students and teachers alike are thrilled with the new space.
The new building is located on the site of our old Kinder/Prepa building. We recycled as many of the materials as possible from the previous building to construct the new classrooms. In addition, a lot of hard work and helping hands were needed to complete this project.
We are very grateful to Builders Beyond Borders, a non-profit organization from Connecticut, who donated their time, effort and money into helping us construct our new building. Between February and April 2006, three groups of approximately 50 student volunteers and adults came in three separate trips to lend us a hand with the construction. They were an incredible help!
We also received donations from the Morse Hill Foundation and the Grace Jones Richardson Trust to purchase classroom furniture. With these two grants we were able to furnish all three classrooms. Thank you to all those who helped make our dream a reality!

Our New Kinder/Prepa Building
The Kinder/Prepa building was completed in the Spring of 2005. It now houses the Kinder, Prepa, Special Education, and Spanish classes.
The building sits on a hillside with a breathtaking view of the Gulf of Nicoya. On the upper level there are two large classrooms connected by a covered patio with tables used for lessons, art projects, and snack time. On the lower level, there are three smaller classrooms and two storage areas.
This project would not have been possible without the support of our donors, staff, volunteers, visitors and community members. We received a very generous donation of colourful playground equipment from Carlos Najarro, a parent and local business owner. Thanks to everyone who helped give our students and our school something else to feel proud about.
